Magic: The Gathering (also known as Magic or MTG) is one of the most well-known trading card games published by Wizards of the Coast in 1993.
Setting[]
You take the role of a wizard-like being called Planeswalker, dueling an opponent by summoning creatures, artifacts, enchantments and spells. Your source of power is called Mana, which you gain by playing lands. Each land can be assigned to one of five colors: white

, and green 
, which stand for a certain aspect of magic.

The stories of Magic take place in The Multiverse - an infinite realm that contains untold numbers of fantastical worlds. These worlds are filled with heroic legends and whispered secrets. Traveling throughout the Multiverse are Planeswalkers – powerful mages with the rare ability to leave the world of their birth. The adventures, plots, and machinations of these Planeswalkers forever alter the fates of those they encounter. The monsters and civilizations of the Multiverse also have their own histories and legends. There is a variety of books, comics, novels and eBooks mostly published by Wizards of the Coast revolving around the characters and planes in Magic's multiverse.
With "Uncharted Realms" members of Magic's creative team regularly publish articles and short stories about the backstory of each block.[2]
