There currently are 4 game modes available to play in Magic Duels :
- Story mode - Play a preconstructed adventure following your favorite planeswalker.
- Battle mode:
- Solo battle - Play against randomly chosen AI opponents of three different difficulty levels.
- Versus battle - Play against another player in a 1v1 ranked match.
- Two-Headed Giant - Play with a teammate against another team of two players.
